About the Role

The Service Manager is a key leadership position within the Children, Youth and Families group, responsible for managing allocated CYF services and providing support to state and operational management.

This role requires a strong leader with proven management skills, able to deliver results and support the team/group business plans. The successful candidate will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders, as well as problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.

The Service Manager will work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, young people, families, and communities to provide culturally inclusive services and achieve sustainable outcomes within a culturally safe environment.

About You

To be suitable for this position, you will have a qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with applied knowledge of financial management systems and budgeting. You will also have experience in a management role in a social welfare context for at least three years, including experience in child protection work.

You will be able to identify business development opportunities, operating model requirements, and customer experience, and will have a strong understanding of the Sanctuary Model of Care.
