About the Role

As a Marketing Pricing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing network revenue for the Qantas Group. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to devise effective strategies and initiatives across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of competitor, external, and internal data to identify potential threats and opportunities that can improve route performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Market Pricing Analysts and Market Managers to perform competitive assessments and evaluate market performance, ensuring optimal pricing strategies are implemented.
  • Monitoring Success: Track the effectiveness of pricing initiatives and campaigns, facilitating continuous learning and improvement for future strategies.
What You Will Bring
  • Over 6 years of experience in an airline revenue management environment.
  • A degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficient understanding of fare establishment procedures and passenger proration methodologies; IATA qualifications in tariffs, ticketing, and proration are advantageous.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting while managing multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for evaluating numerical data and market intelligence to derive actionable insights for senior management.
  • A solid grasp of micro- and macroeconomics, along with an interest in optimization problem-solving and consumer behavior.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and calculated risks.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • A desire to contribute to a high-performing team with a shared work ethic and energy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emphasizing collaboration and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with quantitative analysis software (e.g., Oracle, SAS).
