About the Role

As a Marketing Pricing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the revenue performance of the Qantas Group. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to formulate strategies and initiatives tailored to specific markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize Network Revenue: Identify and analyze competitor data, both external and internal, to uncover threats and opportunities that can improve route performance.
  • Collaborative Strategy Development: Work closely with Market Pricing Analysts and Market Managers to conduct competitive analysis and assess market performance, ensuring pricing strategies are optimized for revenue generation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track the success of pricing initiatives and campaigns, facilitating continuous learning and improvement for future strategies.
What You Bring
  • Over 6 years of experience in airline revenue management.
  • A degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficient understanding of fare establishment procedures and methodologies; IATA qualifications in tariffs and ticketing are advantageous.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a dynamic environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate numerical data and market intelligence to derive actionable insights.
  • Solid grasp of micro- and macroeconomics, with an interest in optimization problem-solving and consumer behavior.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and take calculated risks independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with quantitative analysis software (e.g., Oracle, SAS).
