About the Role:Our team is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology / Haematology Ward. The ideal candidate will provide high standard patient care in a safe and effective manner, supporting patients from admission and addressing any questions or concerns they may have along the way.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required
- Promote effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and hospital
- Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate
- Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff
- Contribute to the achievement of Hospital operational objectives
The successful candidate will hold current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team is essential, along with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Oncology experience is not essential, as training and support to get you practicing confidently will be provided.
