Underground Drill and Blast Engineer Role
We are seeking an experienced Underground Drill and Blast Engineer to join our Technical Services teams across Northern and Southern Operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who share our vision of building a sustainable and profitable gold business.

About the Opportunity
We require a skilled Underground Drill and Blast Engineer to work closely with production operations, focusing on drill and blast excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong planning and scheduling skills, as well as the ability to design and implement safe and efficient drilling plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Completion of drilling plans aligned with 13-week schedule
- Completion of charging plans
- Tele-remote plans for underground bogging activities
- Preparation of short-term weekly schedules
- Assume responsibilities as Ventilation Officer (if required)
- Completion of Primary and Secondary Ventilation Surveys in accordance with WA Mine regulations
- Adhere to Project Operation Safety Plan (POSP)
- QA/QC duties to ensure safety and productivity of drill and blast activities underground
- Highlight key activities and critical path processes of budgets, forecasts, and weekly plans
- Track operational performance of key indicators and report to management
- Manage and administrate contractor database systems (Plodtrack and Livemine)
- Manage adhoc projects as directed by the Senior Mining Engineer and Underground Manager

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (mining preferred)
- At least 2 years' experience in UG Mine Engineering
- UG time completed (or close to)
- Previous exposure of underground drill and blast practices, preferably within a gold mine, to be able to design and implement drill and blast plans
- Working closely with production operations to achieve drill and blast excellence
- Strong planning and scheduling skills
- Ability to design and implement safe and efficient drilling plans
