About the Role

The Dental Assistant Trainee will play a vital role in supporting dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, reprocessing instruments, assisting patients during procedures, and educating them on oral hygiene and post-operative care. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide quality support with best-practice chair-side assisting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Ensure quality control of dental equipment, maintaining optimal functionality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with dental professionals, demonstrating professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of clinical software systems, technology, and other relevant tools to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Salary and Benefits

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of $43,000 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation. Successful candidates will also have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities, enabling them to grow their skills and advance their careers.

Requirements
  • A willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes, with a focus on quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A current and valid National Police Check, along with Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
