The ICT Directorate is responsible for overseeing the IT operations and service delivery functions within our organisation. This role ensures the effective and efficient delivery of IT services to support the building and sustainment of defence submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, manage infrastructure, and oversee network security obligations.
  • Resource Management: Identify and manage resources needed for budgeting, planning, and delivering technology services and systems.
  • Service Improvement: Continually improve people, tools, and processes to optimize value delivery streams.
  • Service Desk Operations: Manage service desk operations, ensure timely resolution of IT issues, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the IT team, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Project Management: Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
About You
  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional with tertiary qualifications in IT or a relevant field, and/or demonstrated relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT operations and service delivery, with at least 4 years in a leadership role, is essential.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are highly desirable.
  • Significant experience in IT leadership roles and fostering DevSecOps culture is required.
  • You should have a strong understanding of IT service management frameworks and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Familiarity with defence industry standards and regulations is an advantage.
