Solar Operations Manager Job Description

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Solar Operations Manager to oversee the installation and maintenance of solar systems, battery systems, heat pumps, and EV chargers.

This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday – Friday, with occasional travel required for onsite inspections.

The ideal candidate will have electrical trade certification or relevant industry experience, as well as knowledge of system design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

They will also possess strong communication and relationship management skills, be familiar with Australian standards AS477, 5139, and 5033, and have SAA or CEC accreditation preferred.

Additionally, they should have experience working in a fast-paced environment, be able to work independently, and have a passion for delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Be the point of contact for on-site issues
  • Advise on system designs, equipment, regulations, and codes
  • Perform desktop checks for design, quality, and compliance
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Electrical Trade Cert or other relevant Solar industry experience
  • Knowledge of install, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Familiar with Australian standards AS477, 5139, and 5033
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • SAA or CEC Accreditation preferred
