Psychiatry Consultant Opportunity in Coastal New South Wales

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatry Consultant to join our innovative virtual mental health service in New South Wales. Based just 90 minutes south of Sydney, this picturesque city offers an excellent quality of life with abundant recreational opportunities and a strong sense of community.
About the Position
This part-time (0.5 FTE) role involves providing timely access to individualized and holistic assessment and care using cutting-edge telehealth technology. As a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry, you will lead teams virtually and serve consumers in the community and across emergency departments in the local area. You will also be responsible for managing inpatients within the service.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Proven capacity and/or experience in providing effective high-quality services demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching with experience in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students and other staff of the hospital.

- A base salary of $186,241 - $251,618 (dependent on experience).
- An expected FTE salary of $262,376 to $354,479 with allowances.
