Service Planning and Disruptions Officer Role

The Public Transport Authority is seeking a motivated and committed Service Planning & Disruptions Officer on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role reports into the Network Development and Disruptions Manager and supports the processing of all service disruptions (planned and unplanned) across the Transperth bus services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the identification and implementation of alternative bus routes for road closures.
  • Liaising with relevant Traffic Management providers, Local Government Authorities and Transperth bus contractors to minimise disruption impacts.
  • Planning and coordinating the appropriate resources, logistics, and administration required to support planned service disruptions across the Transperth bus network.
  • Responding to customer queries and feedback in relation to bus service disruptions.
  • Monitoring and evaluating contractor performance to ensure contract standards are met.
  • Assisting with the review and development of Transperth bus timetables including conducting research and analysing and preparing reports on trends to enable effective service planning.
  • Performing additional duties as directed by the line manager.

About You:

  • Strong administration skills with an interest or understanding in contract management and public transport issues being highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering information in a customer focused environment and develop relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to shared goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and evaluate information.
