We are seeking an experienced professional to provide high-level environmental and sustainability guidance, support project compliance, and drive best-practice environmental management across construction and operations.
This role involves conducting site inspections, audits, and monitoring to assess and improve environmental performance. You will act as the site-based environmental representative, ensuring compliance with approvals and regulations.
The successful candidate will review and oversee contractor environmental management plans and implementation, reporting on incidents, risks, compliance, and contractor performance to project leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and monitoring to assess and improve environmental performance.
- Act as the site-based environmental representative, ensuring compliance with approvals and regulations.
- Review and oversee contractor environmental management plans and implementation.
- Report on incidents, risks, compliance, and contractor performance to project leadership.
About the Role:
- 5+ years' experience in site-based environmental advisory roles within infrastructure or renewables is essential.
- Strong knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation and approval frameworks is required.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply approval conditions and deliver practical, risk-based advice is necessary.
- Experience managing complex environmental issues and stakeholder engagement is desirable.
