Australian Unity is seeking a compassionate and empathetic Carer to join our team in Broken Hill. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing domestic assistance, social support, and personal care to our clients.

The Benefits:

  • You will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $29.06 to $32.56, plus superannuation, depending on your experience.
  • Additionally, you will receive a travel allowance of $0.92 per kilometer, plus paid travel time.
  • As a valued employee, you will have the opportunity to become Cert III qualified in Individual Support (Aged Care) through our Traineeships program – all fees paid (for eligible employees).

The Opportunity

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and an Australian Driver's License are essential.
  • Vaccination for COVID-19 is required (two doses).
  • Both experienced and non-experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Domestic assistance, such as cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, bed making, and meal preparation.
  • Social support, including accompanying clients to doctor appointments, shopping, and social outings (dependent on experience).
  • Perform Personal Care duties, including showering, feeding, toileting; assist with oral medication (dependent on experience).
