About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical claims management advice and collaborative consultation to ensure prompt and compliant claims finalisation procedures are monitored and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with other technical specialists and managers to ensure the effective management of claims and advocate the use of alternate strategies as required to progress the claim towards timely finalisation.
  • Provide technical claims management advice by responding promptly and accurately to claim referrals.
  • Assist managers as required, in identifying and implementing new ideas, which create value for customers, staff, and/or the organisation.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the team's financial targets and KPIs as per the relevant deed, services contract, and incentive schemes.
  • Work closely with managers and claims managers to ensure that the team manages all claims in accordance with legislative requirements and common law practice.
  • Ensure that a high level of privacy is maintained in all interactions with other parties and in accordance with the organisation's corporate guidelines and services contracts.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced claims management specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant workers' compensation experience and knowledge of the relevant legislation.
  • Experience in a customer service delivery environment.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks, and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Ability to focus on end outcomes and work accordingly to achieve the desired results.
