Strategic Planner Position

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a senior level planner. In this role you will contribute strategic acumen as you advise the Corporate Counsel team.
You will have the opportunity to learn from and work closely with our in-house legal experts.
- Ensure planning matters are correctly assessed in relation to compliance with relevant controls
- Prepare documents including those to be filed in Court on behalf of Council
- Make recommendations on system improvements to accommodate the needs of stakeholders
- Manage consultant coordination for effective appeal defence
- Implement processes using Council's business process management system
- Consult with all stakeholders
- Conduct thorough assessments of planning matters
- Develop and prepare critical documents
- Evaluate and improve systems and processes
- Collaborate with consultants for successful outcomes
- Effectively implement and manage business processes
- Engage with stakeholders
- Degree qualification in Town Planning or a related field
- Extensive experience in planning related matters
- Valid class C driver's licence
