Job Title: Compensation and Injury Management Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Injury Management Specialist to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving claims and compensation-related issues through participation in grievance and dispute resolution.
You will represent the Agency on legal and compensation matters within delegation of authority, including negotiation and representation at the tribunal and with claimants and their representatives.
Your primary goal will be to deliver prompt, efficient, cost-effective, and equitable claims and compensation services, including consultancy, claim determinations, monitoring, and approval of costs inclusive of treatment and income maintenance, negotiation, and resolution of disputes.
You will develop and maintain best practice and innovative approaches to claims and compensation, ensuring equity, diversity, and individual needs of the injured worker are considered and reducing the impact of work-related injury to the individual and the organization.
You will review and prepare reports to identify opportunities for improvement with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.
You will contribute to the implementation of IM plans, programs, and strategies that support the Agency's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated knowledge of injury management legislation, regulations, standards, policies, and practices, with familiarity across other state and national frameworks desirable.
You will also need to possess demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (employees, managers, medical professionals, and insurers).
In addition, you will require exceptional time management and organizational skills with a proactive mindset and excellent attention to detail.
