Expert Accounts Payable Professional

As a highly skilled Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial accuracy and compliance of our organisation.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of processing invoices with precision and efficiency, while maintaining excellent communication skills to resolve any queries from internal and external stakeholders.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join our dynamic Business Finance team at Herbert Smith Freehills in Sydney. You will enjoy a hybrid work model, combining office collaboration with the flexibility of working from home part of the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process expenses and disbursements into our financial system with accuracy and speed.
- Ensure timely and efficient payment runs to domestic and international suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve queries from internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and courtesy.
- Share knowledge with team members through effective communication to ensure accurate and consistent processing according to internal procedures.
Requirements:
- A strong background in accounting or finance, with basic to intermediate level skills in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex Accounts Payable concepts to colleagues.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience processing invoices, demonstrating quick and accurate data entry.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively, adjusting for problems and roadblocks.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service, considering the entire process and not just the immediate question.
- Strong problem-solving ability, investigating situations thoroughly and efficiently.
