Maternity Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maternity Nurse to join our team within the Maternity Service.
The successful candidate will contribute to the exceptional culture of our team, renowned for delivering quality, compassionate care to women from various medical specialties.
In this role, you will provide efficient, person-centred care that meets the needs of patients and their families, act as an advocate to help them make informed decisions, and ensure they understand clinical interventions and service delivery processes.
You will also make appropriate referrals for patients' discharge needs and offer supervision and mentoring to staff and students.
The position may involve redeployment to other areas within John Hunter Hospital, ensuring a varied and enriching experience.
