Teaching and Research Expertise in Nursing

About the Role:

We are seeking a distinguished educator and researcher to lead our nursing and midwifery programs. As a key figure in teaching, research, and curriculum development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing education.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead innovation in curriculum design and unit delivery across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Provide research leadership aligned with VU's strategic goals.
  • Supervise Higher Degree Research students and sessional staff.
  • Act as Course Chair or Deputy Head of Program when required.
  • Foster strong partnerships with clinical, industry, and government stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A doctoral qualification (or substantial progress toward completion) in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in tertiary teaching and curriculum design.
  • A growing research profile with evidence of external funding and impactful publications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Awareness of OHS responsibilities and commitment to safe work practices.
