About the Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee the enterprise-wide data architecture and governance across our organisation's IT landscape.

This role entails designing and implementing robust, scalable data solutions that support our Investments business and other corporate functions.

Data Governance Framework

The successful candidate will define, lead, and enforce a data governance framework, ensuring trusted, high-quality data for informed business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of an enterprise-wide data strategy aligned with business goals
  • Design and implement robust data architectures and data management best practices
  • Leverage data analytics to inform business decisions and drive growth
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of data professionals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, data engineering, and data modelling/design in a complex IT environment
  • Proven track record in implementing data products and services, preferably in finance or investment sector
  • Deep knowledge of conceptual data modelling and design for various architecture patterns
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (databricks and MS products) and reporting tools (Power BI)
  • Experience with integrations: batch, near real-time and STP, Data Quality Controls, Data Cataloguing and data lineage
  • Strong background in cloud data platforms, particularly Azure
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, fostering a collaborative team-based culture
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
