ICT Release Management Opportunity

About the Role:

The ICT Release Manager will oversee the release management lifecycle, ensuring seamless deployment of technology changes into live environments while maintaining system stability and service continuity.

They will lead the development, enhancement, and governance of release practices, providing guidance on steps required to transition releases into operations, aligning with business and technical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure releases capture required information including risk assessments, testing, documentation, and stakeholder approvals.
  • Collaborate with project teams, business-as-usual (BAU) operations, and process owners to manage releases appropriately.
  • Design and maintain templates and checklists to standardize release planning, execution, and handover to operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate release performance, conducting post-implementation reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in ICT release management within complex, multi-vendor environments.
  • Deep understanding of ITIL processes, particularly in release and change management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of software development, deployment processes, development toolsets (Azure DevOps), and corporate-wide ICT architectures.
  • Proven ICT Release Management experience.
  • Minimum recent ITIL Foundation certification.
