About the Role

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide expert advice and assistance to optimize ICT operations within an educational setting. This includes procurement, deployment, operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of electronic equipment.

You will support the school community with technical guidance, instruction, and assistance on electronic equipment, ensuring adherence to departmental, school, and manufacturer policies, guidelines, and network standards.

The successful applicant will provide regular preventative maintenance, routine and emergency repairs to all ICT facilities and associated electronic equipment, maintaining accurate records of technical services provided.

This is a progression position, with eligibility for promotion upon meeting specific criteria or demonstrating required skills.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by relevant authorities.
  • Attainment of the DoE Orange Card School Administrator (OC SA) certification to access the school network, enabling high-level support tasks including server technologies.
