Job Title

The role of Schools Officer is a key position within our organization.

As a Schools Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining school ovals through regular mowing, watering and soil maintenance.

This includes lawn and garden maintenance, such as regular weeding and the use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers where necessary.

You will also be responsible for planting, watering and caring for trees, shrubs and gardens.

Additionally, you will undertake general maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters and tractors.

Other responsibilities include arranging regular services, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, and safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuels.

Requirements:
  • Certificate III qualification or higher relevant to the tasks outlined.
  • Capability to perform activities consistent with workplace health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing requirements, identifying solutions, planning and coordinating cost-effective renewal projects.
  • Sound knowledge and compliance with regulations, codes and specifications relevant to the role.
  • Ability to work independently and undertake required procedures without intensive supervision.
