Crisis Counsellor Role in Campbelltown Women's Centre

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Counsellor to join our team at the Campbelltown Centre for Women's, Children's and Family Health. As an Intake Crisis Counsellor, you will provide high-quality counselling services to women who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, grief, and loss.
Key Responsibilities- Provide face-to-face and telephone counselling services to individuals presenting with grief, trauma, identity, relationship, parenting, drug and alcohol, domestic violence, and mental health issues.
- Engage clients using appropriate strengths-based assessments and risk minimisation processes, including safety planning.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team, undertaking initial assessments, providing case management, and therapeutic group work. Your role is to support women and their children, young people, and families to overcome the effects of social, emotional, and behaviour difficulties due to trauma, abuse, and other forms of adversity.

Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a salary of $86,000 - $92,000 per annum, plus superannuation and salary packaging options. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a fitness passport, employee assistance program, and additional leave.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years' experience in crisis counselling, preferably working with women affected by trauma, domestic violence, and mental health issues.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
- Excellent client record-keeping skills using an electronic database.
