Leadership in Social Work is a crucial role that requires a unique blend of academic expertise, leadership skills, and passion for student success. This position involves overseeing Bachelor's and Master's programs, leading course offerings, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

About the Opportunity

We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to lead our Department of Social Work. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Social Work, be eligible for AASW membership, and possess strong leadership experience in social work or related academic programs.

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversee program development to ensure compliance with AASW and TEQSA accreditation standards.
  • Enhance curriculum and develop field placement opportunities to provide students with real-world experiences.
  • Lead and manage academic staff across multiple campuses to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Engage with stakeholders to support program growth and quality, and monitor student outcomes to drive continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership.
  • Proven leadership experience in social work or related academic programs.
  • Strong knowledge of AASW standards, ASWEAS, and experience managing accredited programs.
  • Experience in multi-campus program delivery is preferred but not essential.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
