Senior Land Coordinator

This role involves providing expert advice to the Executive Director Land Coordination and Land Coordinator General on public policy options, staying current with contemporary issues, assessing policy implications, and liaising with stakeholders.

The position advises on corporate activities, coordinates all corporate reporting for the Strategy and Precincts Group, including Ministerial, program, governance, procurement, risk, and strategic reporting, and assists with financial reporting. It prepares content for the Land Coordination Committee, acts as a liaison between the Land Coordinator General's office and other government groups, and handles cabinet submissions, reports, briefs, and correspondence.

The role fosters constructive relationships with departmental colleagues and handles inquiries about the group's activities, with other duties assigned per the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on public policy options, contemporary issues, and policy implications
  • Handle complex and sensitive information to prepare and present authoritative advice on reform proposals
  • Develop materials for Ministerial and Cabinet consideration
  • Advise on corporate activities, coordinate corporate reporting, and assist with financial reporting
  • Prepare content for the Land Coordination Committee, act as a liaison, and handle cabinet submissions, reports, briefs, and correspondence
  • Foster constructive relationships with departmental colleagues and handle inquiries about the group's activities

Requirements:

  • Experienced senior VPS leader with a proven success working in a large and diverse organisation
  • Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent in areas such as land use planning, economic development or public policy
