Senior Urban Design Manager

Job Overview
As a Senior Urban Design Manager, you will lead the urban design direction of major strategic and infrastructure programs that shape the character and livability of Ku-ring-gai. Your expertise in planning, urban design, and landscape architecture will drive the development of high-quality design guidelines, development controls, and 3D modelling for key sites and precincts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement urban design strategies and masterplans.
- Prepare and assess design content of planning proposals and development applications.
- Represent Council and advocate for design excellence in cross-disciplinary forums and community engagement.
- Manage consultant procurement, project delivery, and budgeting.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
- Eligibility for corporate membership with AILA, RAIA, PIA or relevant body.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in planning, urban design, and landscape architecture.
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and managing multi-disciplinary design projects.
- Experience working within both State and Local Government environments.
