Educational Leader - Childcare Professional

Overview of the Role

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the education program by promoting children's well-being, development, and learning. They will achieve this by providing high-quality care, activities, and educational elements to those in the program, managing and promoting a team environment, and working within the organization's philosophy, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead the Development and Implementation of the educational program and assessment with the support of Assistant Coordinator/Coordinator.
  • Ensure Children's Learning and development informs the design of the educational program, and Educators facilitate and extend each child's learning and development;
  • Liaise Effectively with parents, staff, and all internal and external stakeholders;
  • Mentor and Support Educators understanding of the educational program and practice, including how to reflect on the effectiveness of their programs, interactions, intentional teaching, and other strategies;
  • Ensure Compliance with policy;
  • Undertake Administrative Requirements;
  • Work Collaboratively with families and the school community.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent and demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education;
  • Sound Experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting;
  • Comprehensive Working Knowledge of the approved learning framework;
  • Ability to Coach and Mentor others;
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills;
  • Comprehensive Working Knowledge of child development, attachment, learning;
  • Demonstrated Understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning;
  • Working Knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles;
  • Well-Developed Critical Thinking Skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas;
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification;
  • Blue Card;
