Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and refine prompts to guide AI models, meeting the exacting standards required by journalists.
  • Collaborate with editorial teams to build tools enhancing workflow efficiency while maintaining integrity.
  • Develop and fine-tune prompts for diverse journalistic applications, ensuring accurate and contextually appropriate responses.
  • Partner with journalists and editorial teams through structured interviews and workshops to translate workflow requirements into effective AI interactions.
  • Define and document excellence benchmarks for AI outputs, adhering to accuracy, relevance, tone, and editorial guidelines.
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of prompt patterns and strategies for organisation-wide use.

Requirements:

  • Genuine passion for journalism and understanding of modern newsroom operations.
  • Curiosity and strong grasp of language semantics and syntax.
  • Demonstrated elementary coding experience, preferably Python, NLP, and prompt engineering using different models.
