We are seeking an inspirational leader to lead a team of high-performing, enterprise sales managers in the AUNZ region. This role involves collaborating on and driving the vision and strategy for the sales team while fostering teamwork.
The ideal candidate is a natural commercial leader and networker with a consultative mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will excel at strategic thinking, commercial execution, and coaching: strengthening the best team members.
You will be leading and coaching sales managers based in Sydney while reporting to the Head of Sales for AUNZ. As a critical member under this group, you will form the commercial strategy while collaborating with other regions and cross-functional teams.
This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in sales management, customer relationships, and strategic planning. Your experience as a senior individual contributor will enable you to drive business growth and success in the AUNZ region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and build the Sales team in Australia and own the end-to-end commercial success of your team;
- Collaborate on and drive the vision and strategy for the AUNZ sales team, creating local focus while aligning with global strategy;
- Engage with the largest strategic opportunities, leading executive relationships and helping the team navigate long sales cycles with complex fintech solutions to win new customers;
- Adopt and influence the Adyen sales methodology and Selling Process and drive best practices on selling and forecasting;
- Develop best practices that enable the organisation to more rapidly scale to deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth;
- Partner cross-functionally across different teams (e.g. SDR, Marketing, Account Management, Product, Partnerships, regionally and globally)
- 3+ years working in Australia and demonstrated experience in leading senior individual contributors;
- Extensive direct sales hunter experience, specialising in serving multinational enterprise customers, ideally in Payments / FinTech / SaaS;
- Strong experience with sales forecasting and metrics, coaching and driving sales methodologies and processes;
- Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Businesses in the Australian market;
- Resilient and able to challenge and influence whilst remaining focused on growing a sustainable business;
- Ability to structure and prioritize in a high volume, fast-paced environment;
- Team player with ability to understand what drives sales individuals and take ownership or resolve conflicts;
- 15+ years in a commercial role
- 3+ years leadership experience
- Enterprise level experience / multinational preferred
- Sales coaching and complex deal strategy

- Ability to set a local strategy
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally (regional and global)
- Strong people development and coaching skills
