About the Role

BaptistCare Orana is seeking an experienced Lifestyle Coordinator to oversee the Lifestyle and Activities calendar, as well as lifestyle care planning.

The role involves developing, implementing, participating and monitoring a Lifestyle program that optimizes the quality of life for our residents. This includes coordinating, participating and managing events and group activities, building and developing volunteers, training and supporting staff in activities to ensure provision of optimum level of person-centered service to all clients.

You will drive engagement and participation of residents into social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower their choices and independence. In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and monitor a Lifestyle program that meets the needs of our residents;
  • Coordinate, participate and manage events and group activities that promote socialization, recreation and personal growth;
  • Build and develop a team of volunteers who support the delivery of lifestyle programs;
  • Train and support staff in activities that promote person-centered care;
  • Ensure that all activities and programs are delivered in accordance with Aged Care Accreditation Standards;
Requirements
  • Cert IV Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent qualification;
  • Experience in applying adult learning principles and competencies in teaching and program development;
  • Highly developed relationship building, teamwork and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards and experience delivering learning outcomes under these standards;
