The ProjectThe Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs, and Ventia, has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5 km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a lasting legacy for the community of Adelaide.The project scope includes a 10.5 km motorway, over 4 km of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction, and complex M&E installations.
Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance offers the people of Adelaide an opportunity to be part of an iconic project, with career stability and opportunities for progression and development.The RoleAs the Safety Specialist, you will monitor and support all works on the project under general supervision, providing expert knowledge, support, and coordination of safety practices, systems, and procedures.Monitor compliance with safety systems and procedures within the workplace and support the project management team operationallyConduct routine safety inspections and monitor work areasAssist in investigating incidents and accidents, including those requiring litigationAssist with workers' compensation claims and rehabilitation processesResearch and develop safety policies specific to the projectPrepare and maintain reports and documentation related to project safety programsExperienceDiploma in Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalentSignificant experience in a similar role, preferably on large civil construction, mining, or infrastructure projectsAbility to interpret project documents, prepare reports, and monitor compliance documentationAbility to build relationships and rapport at all levelsStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of risk assessment and risk control monitoringStrong investigative and auditing skillsWe OfferWe aim for long-term engagement by providing rich career experiences and ongoing development opportunities.Career progression opportunities due to the project's longevity, allowing involvement in shaping AdelaideAccess to learning and development, including on-the-job and technical training experiencesCommitment to inclusion and diversity, fostering a sustainable and diverse workforce within the alliance
