We are seeking an experienced Culinary Leader to oversee our kitchen operations and staff development at Melbourne Airport. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality dishes and leading a team of talented chefs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for driving menu creation, kitchen operations, and staff development. As our Head Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring every dish reflects the quality and creativity that Scott Pickett is known for.

  • Oversee menu planning and design, consistently producing fresh and high-quality food offerings;
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and Food Safety standards across all back of house operations;
  • Manage inventory control, COGS, and labour costings and profit and loss reporting;
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to ensure culinary team success;
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar role within a restaurant venue;
  • Minimum Certificate IV Commercial Cookery;
  • Diploma of Hospitality, HACCP Certification & Australian Culinary Federation qualified chef, preferred;
  • Extensive experience in menu planning & design;
  • Proven ability in managing, developing, and motivating a diverse team of chefs and cooks;
  • Knowledge of financial and business imperatives;
  • Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster;
