Culinary Director Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced culinary leader to join our team as a Culinary Director. As the head of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus that showcase local produce and demonstrate exceptional culinary expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and creative techniques
  • Collaborate with senior chefs to align culinary standards and drive innovation
  • Manage kitchen resources, supplier relationships, and food safety protocols
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor new kitchen staff
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-driven kitchen culture
  • E nsure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and excellent customer experiences

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior chef in high-end dining environments with expertise in contemporary cooking and menu development
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills in fast-paced restaurant environments
  • Passion for local produce and hospitality excellence
  • Flexible approach to working across a rotating roster, including nights and weekends
  • Certificate III or above in Commercial Cookery
