About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Turf Greenkeeper to join our team at Green by Nature. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing sports turf surfaces to ensure they remain healthy, resilient, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including mowing practices, weed control, and nutrition management, to uphold the quality and playability of turf surfaces.
  • Monitor turf health and proactively address issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices.
  • Implement sustainable turf management practices, including water conservation strategies and pest management techniques.
  • Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Transition turf surfaces across multiple sporting codes.
  • Line marking operations.
  • Irrigation monitoring and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and deliver exceptional results.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.
  • Cricket Wicket experience (desirable).
  • Previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, irrigation systems, and maintenance requirements.
  • Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery operations, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • White Card or willingness to obtain.
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • AQF3 Chemical Accreditation (desirable).
