Parks and Open Space Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Parks and Open Space Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of open space and recreation facilities.

Your duties will include coordinating works crews, staff, and plant under your control undertaking maintenance tasks such as:

  • Maintaining trees in parkland and streetscapes
  • Preparing and maintaining garden beds and mass planted areas
  • Inspecting playground equipment for any safety hazards
  • Rectifying any issues where possible

You will maintain good communication with your team and members of the community, providing effective assistance and advice.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in the horticultural field and knowledge of parkland, sportsground, and streetscape maintenance.

This role requires the ability to coordinate works crews, staff, and plant under their control undertaking maintenance of open space and recreation facilities, including formal gardens and massed plantings, pathways, grass areas, trees, playgrounds, and picnic/barbecue areas.
