Collections Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Collections Manager to lead debt recovery operations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support debt recovery operations, ensuring policies, procedures, and work instructions are in place and followed.
  • Develop and implement debt recovery strategies aligned with legal frameworks.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and initiate appropriate recovery actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant state-specific regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting systems for audits and reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • FNS30420 Certificate III in Mercantile Agents, including competencies in:
    • Debt collection and legal recovery
    • Locating individuals and serving legal process
    • Managing individuals experiencing hardship
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
  • Familiarity with Australian credit laws and financial regulations
