Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our infrastructure, including plant and equipment, building fabric, and associated systems.

  • You will ensure hospital maintenance is completed to a satisfactory standard and in a timely manner.
  • Carry out emergency procedures in line with policy and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections of building services, plant & equipment, and or building/fixtures to identify potential issues.
  • Raise work requests as required to facilitate prompt action.
  • Closely monitor and manage works orders to meet deadlines.
  • Develop scopes of work and source quotations for tasks that require external assistance.
  • Provide first-line response to all urgent requests and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure completion of permits for risk work as may be required.
  • Liaise with the facilities administration team to procure sufficient spares/materials and maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Perform audits on plant and equipment as instructed by management.
