Job Opportunity: Field Instrumentation Technician

Based in Perth, Western Australia, this position offers a unique opportunity to advance your career in mining engineering. As a Field Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of proprietary hardware and software on heavy engineering equipment used in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake installations and maintenance of sensors and cabling on mining equipment
  • Perform diagnostics and provide timely technical advice and support
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and other staff to coordinate installation and maintenance activities
  • Travel regularly to remote Client mine sites across Western Australia to engage in these and other work activities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A trade qualification (e.g. Certificate IV, Diploma, Apprenticeship) in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, automotive, or cabling trades
  • Strong teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and at times on remote mine sites
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis and perform shift work as needed

This role offers a competitive remuneration package that includes base salary, generous superannuation, remote site allowance, and overtime provisions.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, and you will be required to perform shift work whilst on site in accordance with project task requirements. However, some flexible working arrangements may be negotiable.
