Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of a variety of heavy machinery, including Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment. This may involve but is not limited to repairs to bucket attachments, general fabrication tasks and maintaining a safe working environment.
A significant portion of work will consist of troubleshooting and repairing excavators, loaders, graders, dozers and dump trucks. Additionally, the technician must ensure all work activities are conducted in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess trade qualification in engineering fabrication, extensive experience on mine sites with knowledge of CAT and Komatsu equipment, strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities. Furthermore, they must demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and adhere to established policies and procedures.
