National Clothing Collection Initiative

A nationwide drive to collect quality preloved clothing donations is underway.

The Opportunity

Volunteers should be over 18 years old, fit, and able to lift and carry bags/boxes from vehicles for the duration of the shift.

  • Set up (morning shift) or pack down (afternoon/evening shift) of the event
  • Removing donations from cars and onto trucks or shipping containers onsite (some bags/boxes may be heavy)
  • Directing traffic
Essential Items to Bring
  • A reusable water bottle to minimize single-use plastic consumption
  • Wear closed-in, comfortable shoes suitable for outdoor work
  • Comfortable clothing that can get dirty
  • Dietary-specific snacks if required
  • Sun protective gear (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
  • Rain gear if needed
  • Red Cross will provide masks & gloves but feel free to bring your own if preferred
Key Requirements
  • Be 18+ years of age
  • Be fit and able to lift and carry bags/boxes from vehicles for the duration of the shift

No experience necessary, training will be provided on the day. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
