Medical Consultant To The Integrated Care

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a Medical Consultant to join our Integrated Care division in Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN).
  • The successful candidate will work collaboratively with emergency departments, acute and sub-acute services, community providers, and virtual care platforms.
  • You will deliver acute, inpatient-equivalent care to patients within their homes or preferred non-hospital settings.
  • Utilizing hospital-grade technologies, medications, and safety and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Extensive experience supporting hospital avoidance strategies, teaching and mentoring junior staff, and contributing to service improvement initiatives across acute and community care settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety principles, accreditation processes, leadership practices, research methodologies, and legal and ethical frameworks underpinning contemporary clinical practice.
