Emergency Consultant

As an Emergency Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and strong communication skills.

You will lead clinical teams, facilitate quality improvement processes, and participate in teaching programs for medical officers and staff.

  • Deliver emergency and medical care to ED patients

  • Combine clinical and teaching roles to contribute to Australasian College for Emergency and Rural Generalist ED training hub

Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Specialist qualifications registrable with Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
  • Proven experience in clinical emergency medicine, paediatric and adult emergencies, professional judgement, clinical competence, negotiation and communication
  • Prior experience in supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff
