About the Job:

This Horticulturist role offers an exceptional opportunity to excel in a dynamic environment, working closely with customers and contributing to the overall success of our Glasshouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert advice and assistance to customers on plant selection, care, and maintenance solutions, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and appearance of Glasshouse plants, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control measures.
  • Collaborate in inventory management processes, including receiving deliveries, stock placement, and offloading, promoting efficient operations.
  • Maintain meticulous labelling and organization of stock, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Enhance visual appeal by merchandising stock logically, creating seasonal displays, using color coordination, and varied heights.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary horticultural education (e.g. Certificate III in Parks & Gardens, Certificate III in Horticulture etc).
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Excellent time management, responsibility, and flexibility to commit to a diverse work schedule, including weekends.
  • Able to follow established processes and procedures in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Proactive attitude, prioritizing tasks and demonstrating initiative.
