Dining Room Attendant

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our team at the RAAF Base Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional food and customer service, with experience in kitchen operations and food preparation.
This casual position involves supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing high-quality food, and providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with our chefs and dining room attendants to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, bircher muesli, yogurt, and grab-and-go options.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive and professional demeanor.
- Support the implementation and management of our Food Safety Program.
- Assist with stock management tasks, including rotation, checking labels and use-by dates, loading and unloading supplies, restocking consumables, and assisting with stock take.
- Clean, sanitise and maintain cooking utensils, equipment and food preparation areas.
- Aid chefs and dining room attendants as required, especially during peak times.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Demonstrated experience delivering food and beverage services in hotels, restaurants or high-volume dining establishments.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service and food preparation.
- Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations.
- Current Australian driver's license.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Baseline. As a result of this requirement, the applicant must be an Australian citizen.
