Career Opportunity: Financial Operations Coordinator for Paradise Dam Improvement Project

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Coordinator to support the Paradise Dam Improvement Project team in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. This is a permanent full-time role with ongoing career opportunities.

About the Role

This role is part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, with CPB Contractors / Georgiou appointed as major construction partner and GHD as the ongoing design partner. The successful candidate will assist the project team in multiple areas of both Finance and Commercial space, including preparation for End of Month requirements, coordination and administration of financial reporting deliverables, and ad-hoc support to the project Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the project team in multiple areas of both Finance and Commercial space.
  • Assist the finance team in the preparation for End of Month requirements.
  • Coordination and administration of financial reporting deliverables.
  • Ad-hoc support to the project Finance team as requested to assist with achievement of daily tasks and reporting obligations.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate financial reporting deadlines and timelines.
  • Management of invoice payments for relevant Finance matters using Oracle.
Requirements for this role:
  • Minimum 3 years accounting/finance experience working with a Tier 1 construction company.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft office, experience in JDE, Oracle preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a project environment and deliver on deadlines.
  • Experience in end of month reporting, claim submissions, purchase orders and procurement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion in relation to confidential information.
