The Project
Sunwater is planning for the construction of a new dam wall immediately downstream from the existing Paradise Dam on the Burnett River.
This large-scale project will ensure a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region for future generations.
As part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, we have partnered with CPB Contractors / Georgiou as major construction partner and GHD as ongoing design partner.
Your Role
You will assist in interpreting, planning, coordinating, and administering construction engineering activities in line with the project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Senior Project Engineer in preparing accurate monthly reports.
- Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
- Active management and liaison with site-based personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Developing and monitoring KPIs and productivity analysis against program and budget.
- Managing short-term and long-term construction planning for works under control.
- Liaising with project teams, including sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Applying engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer working on large-scale projects with a tier 1 company.
- Experience in RCC – Roller Compacted Concrete, TMR, and concrete formwork.
- Proven commercial experience in forecasting and budget management, EOM Process, and cost tracking skills.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
Location
This role will initially be based in our Alliance office in Brisbane, transitioning to a full-time, site-based basis.
