Overview

Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) team is seeking an experienced Datacenter Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Integrated Planner/Scheduler to join our Global Project Controls team. As a trusted advisor, you will deliver timely and responsive project controls services to support the delivery of CO+I's mission and vision.

In this role, you will provide integrated planning and schedule management services for datacenter construction projects in Melbourne, Australia. You will be responsible for developing and analyzing totally integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) schedules, recommending solutions or recovery plans to mitigate schedule or cost impacts.

We utilize tools such as Master Schedules, Risk Framework, Quality Checklists, and Schedule Health Scorecards. Our collaborative approach ensures schedule predictability drives overall delivery efficiencies. We foster a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

This is a field-based role requiring relocation to or residence within 50 miles of the Melbourne metro area. Relocation support will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) including timelines and dependencies for large-scale datacenter construction projects.
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
  3. Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
  4. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  6. Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  2. 10+ years of experience in planning medium-sized capital projects in data center, oil and gas, or chemicals (or related process industry), specifically including engineering and procurement, with examples of integrated construction planning.
  3. Excellent understanding of Project Planning, Earned Value Management, and Key Commodity Tracking.
  4. Proficiency in Oracle P6 project planning software.
  5. Familiarity with Risk Schedule Analysis.
  6. Ability to analyze EPC plans/schedule and provide deep insights into trends, issues, mitigations.
  7. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  10. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
  11. Experience in managing teams and working collaboratively with cross-functional groups.

Salary Range:$110,000 - $140,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
