Quality Assurance Specialist

The role involves ensuring excellence in our supply chain by collaborating with top-tier suppliers to drive quality, compliance, and performance. This is a chance to be at the cutting edge of aerospace innovation.

This position will work out of an Australian facility, reporting to a Supplier Quality Manager, working closely with the Quality and Production Leadership situated across Australia.

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes, and products.
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives.
  • Resolves routine issues and concerns in the supplier Quality space.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management.
  2. Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions.
  3. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  4. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).

Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations.
  • Knowledge of suppliers' capabilities to support Boeing production, including business systems, organizational structure, manufacturing processes, risk mitigation, capacity planning, past/present delivery performance, design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data.
  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various procurement departments/disciplines and their interactions and impact on non-Procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of drawing/data systems and configuration management principles and processes.
