Senior Control Systems Engineer

Job Description:
As a Senior Control Systems Engineer at HITACHI ENERGY AUSTRALIA PTY LTD, you will play a key role in executing project design authority for control engineering disciplines with medium to high complexity within the Grid Edge Solutions, Microgrids and Battery Energy Storage business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control System Design: Develop and deploy control schemes for complex Grid Connected battery projects.
- Design, Integration, and Commissioning: Manage design, integration, deployment, and commissioning process for control systems both on-site and remotely.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical lead, approve design deliverables, review project documents for conformity and quality assurance, and anticipate and solve unprecedented problems.
- Proposal and Presentation: Assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs, including providing bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, and other relevant information.
- Representation and Collaboration: Represent the function in standardization committees, communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and lead engineering teams.
- Quality and Safety: Review, develop, and document quality standards, processes, tools, and techniques, ensuring compliance with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor or master's degree in electrical engineering discipline with three years' work experience.
- Technical Skills: Experienced with standard communication protocols, understanding of control systems, and familiarity with grid interconnection SCADA requirements.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of design and commissioning of control systems in renewable industry is preferred.
- Travel Requirements: This role requires time-to-time travel as per project requirements.
