Job Opportunity for Medical Registrar

About the Role:

The position of Medical Registrar offers a valuable opportunity to develop clinical skills and contribute to patient care. As a key member of the medical team, you will provide consultation and supervision to junior medical staff on a week-on week-off roster.

During weekdays, the role will assist junior medical staff in managing complicated medical scenarios during work hours by offering advice and occasional clinical reviews. When rostered for after hours or weekends, the role will also engage in ward-based duties.

Key Responsibilities and Opportunities:

  • Assignment to experienced examiners each term to support them through a comprehensive exam preparation program
  • Connection with study groups outside the organization to aid with RACP exam preparation
  • Attendance at practice RACP exams and clinical preparations at other hospitals in NSW
  • Participation in specialty and subspecialty clinics based on interest
  • Collaboration with highly regarded leaders in various subspecialties of internal medicine
  • Development of valuable connections to facilitate career progression
  • Access to the Clinical Trials Unit via research leaders at Macquarie University
  • Opportunity to publish research articles with world-renowned leaders
  • Exploration of opportunities to advance academic career at Macquarie University
  • Contribution to educational activities with MQ Health

Medical Subspecialties:

  • Cardiology, including subspecialty services: Electrophysiology, Advanced interventional Cardiology (TAVI), Structural Heart, Pulmonary Hypertension
